I just have to say thank you to everyone who has sent congratulatory notes and gifts. I promise, I'm working on handwritten letters of appreciation, but those will take longer to get out to each of you, and I don't want you thinking I'm ungrateful.
It's absolute chaos in the manor these days. I feel as though I'm trapped in a whirlwind of craziness, but it's wonderful! I've never been so happy in all my life, and I have Theo to thank for that. My parents too. They've been wonderful, though Mother might be the death of me with all the appointments she's scheduled. I nearly bit into a dress laid out before me yesterday, thinking we were meeting with another pastry chef presenting samples of wedding cake! It's all a blur of white anyway, how can I be expected to tell the difference? Well, all is white with the exception of my ring.
I am a very traditional girl, but somehow Theo knew I didn't want a traditional ring. It's truly the most stunning piece of jewelry I've ever seen. It looks like a sun, only a bright green emerald is in the center, and it's surrounded by diamond flares. Just beautiful. There's not a force on earth that could pry it off my finger. I think I'll go stare at it some more before Mother drags me off to another appointment.
Don't worry, Theo, she promised to leave me be by six tonight, so that I can join you for dinner.
